New Year's Shoot

Early on New Year's Day, I was inspired by a photo spread ("Big House on the Prairie" by Olivia Graham (website) in Philadelphia Lifestyle magazine) to get out and shoot a project I have been procrastinating to complete.

So I “dolled up” my sisters and dragged my family out to a crazy, cold cemetery and began to set up my photo shoot. This cemetery is like no other as it sits high above Nyack and the Hudson River...super cool!

My photo shoot in ways is different then Olivia's natural and peacefully photos, but the way she framed her models gave me inspiration to do the same… in my own way. I utilized the stone hedges and objects around me to add to the photos overall "creepy vibe".
