Tips on Owning a Tiny Kitchen
Tips on Owning a Tiny Kitchen
Although, there are some benefits to a dining hall there are also many benefits to cooking for yourself. It can in some ways even be less costly because you can choose what and how much you make. Cooking for yourself is such a great learning experience. I had never realized how hard and complicated it was until I was given my own kitchen. I give my father a lot of props for cooking on top of working a full time job.
I had so much fun cooking for myself and my roommates that we even made our own food Instagram named “tinykitchen22”. Before moving into my townhouse, I was unaware of the sheer number of items we needed to have a full functioning kitchen. Pots, pans, wine opener, scissors, spatula, tongs, and much more. I honestly thought I would only need one or two things for my kitchen, but I was so wrong. My biggest piece of advice would be to buy a can opener. It took me forever to buy a can opener. I wanted to see how far I could get without having to buy a can opener. It is safe to say I didn’t get very far as I am always using canned goods.

Learning how to cook will be a skill that you will use forever. This is the perfect time to learn how to cook because after college we will have little to no time to learn and mess up cooking. Have fun with it! And I suggest making an Instagram. My neighbors and I would have competitions to see who could make the best food. It was funny because we would get competitive about it.
I hope that this is helpful and soon I will post an article that has cute and trendy items you could buy for your kitchen if you want it to be a little more creative. I will also link my favorite healthy, easy, and yummy recipes I make frequently in my tiny kitchen to another post. Enjoy and happy cooking!
